i once thought stephen stills was a fictional character from brian lee o'malley's scott pilgrim comic series. however, thanks to rockband, i now know that stephen stills is in fact, a real person!
the real stephen stills was part of crosby, stills & nash (and young) and buffalo springfield. the "young" is neil young, who i'd heard of, but have not yet heard his music. unfortunately, i don't really know who david crosby and graham nash are.
stephen stills of the scott pilgrim world is the lead singer and guitarist of the sex bob-omb. he's pretty cool, probably because he always seems so rugged and scruffy. i think it's neat that there is also a character called young neil, who happens to be stephen stills' roommate and sex bob-omb's biggest fan.
a funny thing to note - in my internet searching for these links, i tried to look up bruce springfield in wikipedia, who apparently does not exist. none of the suggested links for my failed search were what i had in mind. isn't bruce springfield some famous american singer? i'm so confused.
